| Chalk and a flexible batten
reveal the high spots. At the beginning a plane brings down the edges. After that belt sander, disk grinder and a long board are used to smooth the hull. |

and a mallet three or four strands of cotton are driven in all planking
seams. |

red-lead they are filled with sealant... |
